Victims of WW2 German bombing remembered.

On the night of 20/21 December 1940, German aircraft dropped bombs on Manchester and Salford. Many people were killed in their homes and some in their workplaces as they kept watch. The Friends of Salford Cemeteries Trust gathered at 11 am at the Blitz Memorial Garden in Agecroft Cemetery to pay their respect to those who died. Jean Coward, the Agecroft Cemetery Rep said a few words of remembrance and laid a wreath.

Later that day at 12 noon, Pete Kilvert laid a wreath at the Blitz memorial stone at Peel Green Cemetery, to remember the Blitz victims of Eccles.
