The Friends of Salford Cemeteries Trust invite you to take a guided tour of
Peel Green Cemetery, and there are some unusual stories to be told,on Saturday 7 April (Easter Saturday)
There are no 'famous' people in Peel Green cemetery but some with connections to the famous (Bee Gees and Robert Burns).
You will also hear stories about the following people amongst others.
John Walmsley: Founder of the Grammar School of Eccles
William Bates: Director of the Co-op
Harry Watkins: World Record holder
Nuns: 18 Sisters of St Joseph's
Accidents: local people killed by accident
Unknown: at least ten people listed as 'unknown'
Murders: two victims of murder.
Meet outside the cemetery office at 11AM, and the tour is free! have a good time.
