Biography:	Service number 10523 Battalion 15th ("C" Company) John was thr first of the Salford Pals Battalion to die on military service. He died of pneumonia in Bangor Hospital on 1st March 1915. Rev Farnsworth, the Battalion Chaplin, QMS Hodson and twenty of his former mates attended his furneral at Weaste Cemetery
